A Tribute to Roger Federer

Photobucket

Hello, Friends!

Tributes are for those who are dead, or are nearly dead. It's human nature to want to feel good about recognizing titans sufficiently for their contribution to their respective fields, hence the parade of accolades in their sunset years.

Roger Federer is neither dead, nor is he nearly dead. Should we all be so lucky to look as good as he does at his age! He was born in 1981 - shall we do the math? Yet, in sports terms, he has already effectively done what he was born to do. Roger Federer has more than left his mark on tennis. He has rewritten its history.

So while I always dismissed him as sterile and antiseptic in his game (he discarded of his opponents like a scientist would a culture of bacteria), here's The Hyperactive Gay Boy™'s tribute to tennis' champion of grace, elegance, precision - and, yes, hirsute beauty.

Mirka, you are one, lucky girl :)

Thanks for the good times, Roger.

Gonna be a tough act to follow!

With Affection,
James
